Rare Early Vintage Craftsman Broad Axe/Hatchet Hewing-Reg U.S. Patent Office-M. This is a very early model Craftsman hewing hatchet. Notice the shape of the head. It is stamped CRAFTSMAN Reg US Pat. OFF-M. It measures about 19" long, 4 1/4" blade. The original handle has some checking in the wood but it is firmly attached. It weighs just under 3 pounds. The striking edge has a chip on corner, please see pics.
