Rare and unusual pair of Labrador retriever dog andirons, made by Liberty foundry, St. Louis, Mo. The foundry started in 1906, so it is hard to say when they were made. Both of these cast iron dog figures have some surface rust on them, but they do clean up nicely with a little gun oil. These great andirons were purchased at an auction from a large, beautiful, old house in the Midwest, where I'm sure they sat by the fireplace for many years. Each dog figure stands 13 ins. tall, and weighs about 13 lbs. Each dog figure comes with a log bar.   Please e-mail with any questions.
