Rare Aiwa AD-6700 Stereo Cassette Deck.


The unit has been professionally serviced and carefully tested for all functions and it is in excellent working order.


All belts have been replaced with brand new ones. All mechanical moving parts have been lubricated with synthetic grease. All controls and switches have been cleaned and lubed for many years of smooth and accurate operation. All heads have been cleaned with professional head cleaner and demagnetized.


The main features of the Aiwa AD-6700 are: 2 heads, mechanical 3 digit tape counter, manual tape type selection and capable of handling normal, chrome, ferro-chrome and metal tapes with additional manual equalization selection, belt driven single-capstan transport.


Typical front loading cassette deck with the cassette compartiment located on the left side of the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well.


Level meters used on the AD-6700 are analog needle VU reading meters. Full-logic transport controls used on the AD-6700 let it respond to the slightest finger contact for fast and effortless transport function selection. Cue and review can be used to easily and quickly locate the beginning of a passage.


The Dolby-B system reduces tape hiss on tapes recorded on the AD-6700 by as much as 10 dB at the highest frequencies.
