All of our sets come enclosed/sealed in their original mint containers.

                                     "We are selling coins not packaging" The average conditions of our sets are above market standards as traded between dealers. All our sets come with come with the outer boxes/coverings.

All of our sets have passed through one of more hands since they left the mint.

Although all our proof and mint sets come with the outer box/envelope those "envelopes" are all in "used" condition and may be expected to evidence "handling" and "wear".

The older the sets, the more evidence of handling may be expected.

The (very poor quality) hard plastic cases are subject to small stress fractures either when originally encased or as they age. 

None of these conditions affect the condition of the coins. The fact that all of our sets come with the outer coverings makes our sets better than average to begin with. 

None of the imperfections in the outer wrappers will affect the condition of the proof and mint coins we are selling.

  If you are set on obtaining "mint fresh" or "mint state" paper coverings we cannot supply them because we cannot favor one buyer over another by cherry picking just the most pristine perfect wrappers for one person. Although all our proof and mint sets are mint sealed and in some cases hermetically sealed in flat air tight plastic cellos, like proof sets 1955-1964, that air tight packaging contains the original air and atom contaminants of that air pocket. 

ALL proof and uncirculated sets will show some sign of interaction with micro atom contaminants over time if you put "enough" magnification on each coin in any proof and mint set.

This change in the original color as compared to the day the coin was struck will sometimes produce a dramatic effect. 

Many collectors collect these many and varied changes. (We have even seen human finger prints on hermetically sealed mint sets 1959-1964 which proves that not all mint employees wore their gloves when handling these uncirculated coins for packaging) There is no such thing as a "perfect" proof or mint set. Like us, they are always aging.

10. Ask before you buy: Feel free to ask questions before you pay. We take the most realistic pictures we can, and rely on these pictures to represent the grade of each coin. Unless there is a condition not visible in the picture we do not attempt any further written description, however WE ENCOURAGE EVERY BUYER TO PLEASE FEEL FREE to ask us any questions you may have about an item.

11. Grading: Generally, we DO NOT GRADE COINS. Buyers are encouraged to use eBay's enlargement feature located under the picture of every coin we sell. The enlarged picture allows you to determine the condition of an item before you buy it. We use "Better Grade" and "High Grade" as general descriptions that are our opinion as guides to help in your buying decisions. A “Better Grade” coin is in the upper 50% of the population of that coin. A well circulated coin is in the lower 50% a "High Grade" coin is in the upper 20% of the population. We use the grade BU when we believe a coin grades or better.

12. Cleaning: Except for those coins in sealed U.S. Mint and Proof Sets, we assume most coins have been cleaned to some degree in their lifetime and we have no proven way that any coin has never been cleaned. Under our assumption, we will gladly give you our opinion if a coin has been cleaned upon your request.
