Great door pediment - salvaged from a circa 1850-60 Pittsburgh hotel.
I 'found' this in my barn - hanging in the rafters were I was placing gable pediments. I thought for the longest time I had this piece listed - but alas it was not.
I bought this piece about 5 or 6 years ago.
Has a great checkered design in the triangle pediment area - the green paint is creak, nice crackled finish. The top of the peak is unpainted - it must have been covered as the green paint was NEVER applied to the piece.
The bottom edge needs to be trimmed - it has some soft spots on it - I tried to capture this in the pictures. I would estimate about 1 to 1.5" needs to be trimmed on the bottom edge for a smooth, even edge.
Measures 108.5" long is 39" at peak & 8.5" deep.
Old square nails are studding the backside also.
Has metal flashing on top edge.
Wonderful size for headboard - over a door way or mantle - could also be re-used for a functional purpose to dress up a home or barn!
Will need to send with our delivery service - $300-450, COD, depending on region! Can be picked up in the Hartford CT region.
