WWII Japanese shin-gunto officer's Samurai Signed sword later war w/ early Scabbard Saya - Sword blade is signed on both signs - tang has two holes - blade’s edge extremely sharp had mirror finish with light wear . . Fittings include = Black Bronze Tsuba #550 with 2 matching #550 seppa (spacers), matching menuki – Scabbard is metal and appears to be an earlier Scabbard used early during WWII which has normal wear and dents from the war. . . The sword lock latch works fine & is also has #550 stamped on it .. .Handle wrap is in good shape . .
Sword's measurements = Total length when sword is in Scabbard = 38” long /
Length of sword out of scabbard = 37-1/4” / Length of blade (from end to end) – 35” long / Blade width near Tsuba / handle = 1-1/4” wide - Tang length is about - 9” long . . scabbard is about 27-3/4” long ..
