WWII Japanese naval officer's Samurai sword Signed Matching Tsuba Seppa Scabbard Saya - Sword blade is signed on both signs - Fittings include = Bronze Tsuba with matching seppa (spacers), matching menuki – Matching Fuchi & kashira-gane – Metal loop is missing on the kashira-gane - - sword blade’s tang has one hole which has sword’s maker’s signature - blade’s edge is sharp and shows a somewhat straight temper line . . .but blade does have wear, surface has some small rust spots ... Scabbard appears to have been covers in a wrap and looks to be a painted lacquer covering.. . Handle wrap is in good shape and shows use nicely...
Sword's measurements = Total length when sword is in Scabbard = 39” long /
Length of sword out of scabbard = 37-3/4” / Length of blade (from end to end)= 34” long ./ Blade's Edge – 26-1/2” . / Blade width near Tsuba / handle = 1-1/8” wide - /-
Tang length is about – 7-3/4” long -.. .scabbard is about 28-1/4” long ..
