Seller: mycarisapieceofcrap (456) 100%, Location: Elgin, IL, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 330581241960 Hello and thanks for looking. Up for auction is a 1:1 scale reproduction of the Tornister Funkgeraete Dorette 2, or Torn Fu d2. The faceplate is a 1:1 resin casting from a real wwii radio faceplate. Best of all, the faceplate is already finished for you. All of the fine detail work of painting and filling in the nomenclature data plates is done for you, which saves you about 2 hours of building the radio. The faceplate is made of a very strong resin that can be drilled, etc. and is very durable. I realize that in the first photo it looks as though the bottom part of the radio is not painted, but is the bottom of the radio and is not visible once you put it in the case. Included with the faceplate are many accessories to make a complete radio set-up. You get two fisheye globes that magnify the numbers on the dial for you. You also get a resin casting of a wwii German microphone, the antenna mount, a casting of the power plug, and a casting of the battery box trap door that the cable runs into. This gives you everything you need to build a complete radio set-up, and these accessories are not offered by any other vendors! This would be perfect for your war room or for re-enactments. Original wartime radios are very hard to come by, and an original Fu d2 (if you can find one) would run in the thousands of dollars. Don't miss out on this awesome full kit. I will include directions on how to complete your radio if desired. Don't miss out on the most complete radio kit you'll find! Thanks for looking!
