Item:333284414958For sale is a restoration grade WW2 Springfield M1 Barrel... stamped on side with 3-S-A-1-44, so this is a january of 1944 barrel... the gas port area is original finish. Barrel has a few spots of worn off finish and surface rust. TE is a 5.25 and MW is 4.5 Good rifling, but does have some light rust on the lands... to be expected for a barrel used during ww2 when corrosive ammunition was in use. Stamped 7.62 on top of receiver end of barrel. This was on a rifle that was in a lend lease program to a foreign government and they stamped it with bore diameter. To be clear this is a 30 06 barrel and NOT a .308 No import marks... Also has some light pitting on receiver end of outside of barrel. Purely cosmetic and will not impact function. Will not be visible under rear handguard anyway. I have a couple of hundred garand barrels that i am listing as i get the time. I do have many USGI that will be good shooters ranging in dates from 1943 to 1955... All of these barrels have normal wear of barrels that are 60+ years old. I have a couple of hundred garand barrels that i am listing as i get the time... I am also listing some on my other ebay site STRAWBERRYBLONDE2010, so check those out too. I do have many USGI that will be good shooters ranging in dates from 1943 to 1955... All of these barrels have normal wear of barrels that are 60+ years old. NOTE: I am looking for a Garand receiver to trade for a barrel or barrels. Prefer one with heavy wear to one with new parkerizing. I have correct barrel and cartouched stock for june of 1945, so prefer one of that period, but interested in any Garand receiver... prefer USGI of any age but would consider foreign receiver as well. On these barrels and in all photos I use a FULTON ARMORY combo gauge that has muzzle wear and throat erosion measurement capabilities in the one tool. While i cannot guarantee your gauge will read the same as mine, this is a high quality tool and the measurements should be fairly close to other quality gauges. IF, FOR ANY REASON, you are unsatisfied, i will be more than happy to accept the return, but PLEASE read condition and look over all photos before paying.... I do not charge any restocking fees, ever... buyer will pay return shipping on returns UNLESS I MADE A MISTAKE IN THE LISTING, in which case I will happily pay return shipping (I do make mistakes according to my wife)... As with any gun part that is necessary for correct functioning of a firearm, you should have a gunsmith inspect, properly install, and headspace before firing.Condition:Used, Featured Refinements:M1 Garand Rifle
