Seller: Top-Rated Plus Seller tlcfloral (1,308) 100%, Location: Indian Trail, North Carolina, Ships to: US, Item: 163271870109 Featured here is a vintage Japanese teapot from the Takito Company. It is handpainted with a bird - possibly a pheasant - and many flowers, with bright oranges, greens, and white. The body of the teapot is black with yellow accents on the handle, lid, and spout. The mark on the bottom is the double "T" in diamonds mark, signifying it was made by the Takito Company, and because it's not from Nippon or Occupied Japan, the piece should date between 1922 and 1945. While not perfect, the hand painted decoration and striking colors make it a standout piece, with one-of-a-kind charm and a fascinating eastern provenance. It comes with a matching trivet as well, rare to see with such old pieces. It measures 9 inches from handle to tip of spout, and 6 1/2 inches tall when on the trivet. It weighs 1 1/4 pounds before packaging. In good vintage condition, but because of age does have some marks. Crazing is on unpainted surfaces of teapot, both bottom and inside. Lid and trivet do not have crazing, but do have wear from shelf and use. There may be some spots where the pain is fading or lightly chipped, and it is not quite as vibrant as it once was. But considering its age, it is in good condition. Please message us with any questions! We love to hear from you and typically answer within the hour from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET.
