Country French Tiger Oak Vanity / Dressing Table / Console Table with Mirror

DESCRIPTION

Amazingly beautiful Country French vanity / dressing table with mirror.  Wonderful shell carvings decorates this piece combined with curli-cue details.  Curved and fluid lines make up the distinctive shape

The quality is outstanding as demonstrated in both decorative and workmanship quality.  This is seen in the beveled wood side panels, movable side mirrors, cabriole legs with extra carvings on the knees, dovetailed drawer construction and wonderful tiger oak grain pattern.  

Vanity with mirror / Writing desk has some versatility.  Could use as originally designed.  Or, could hang the mirror above it on the wall or somewhere else in the room. 

Vanity dimensions:  Height is 64 3/4 ich.  Surface height is 30 1/4 inch.  Width is 51 inch.  Depth is 18 1/4 inch

This is an original antique piece that has been restored and not a later reproductions.  Made probably in the 1930s when the earlier styles were reintroduced and labor for extremely high quality workmanship was still inexpensive.  This style with slight variations has been made made and been popular for hundreds of years.  It is in fact a vintage item.

CONDITION

It has been previously restored including refinishing both inside and out.  If there was any damage, it was professionally repaired.  The wear is normal and appropriate to an item of this age which includes typical wood shrinkage, minimal warping and some marks and scratches.

Most of the wear can be seen on the vanity with scratch marks on the top surface and fogging / lines / spots on the mirrors.  

With restoration there is always a question of how far to take the work.  We believed in making items beautiful and usable without erasing all the well-earned age.

Sorry no shipping, local pickup only.  It is located in the Los Angeles Area.  Specifically in Bellflower near the 91 and 605 freeways.  Delivery available within a local area.  Item must be picked up within 60 days.  After 60 days there is a storage fee of $5 per day.   Please contact us for more information.

Freight shipping would have to be arranged by you as the customer.  We will meet the shipper of your choosing.
