The dual LEGENDS, Mouton 1929 and Latour 1929 are here...and in magnum no less. The very, very rare Salon 1928, the "lucky 7th" vintage of this bubbly and the "podium finish" 3rd commercially released vintage of this incredible house, of only about 45 total vintages made/released in its almost 120 year history, is available here.
The Salon label is a variation of what is mostly shown. As we all know quite a few wines had varying labels in those early years, due to different bottlers, different label suppliers, different decisions at the Chateaux/Houses/Domaines, different release times, etc., not to mention that many times a wine that stays at the domaine is never labeled UNTIL it is released, as the ageing in a damp cellar would only wreak havoc on the label. It is a fact that almost all Champagne houses re-release vintages of their champagnes, some several times, hence variations, not just in taste, but in packaging/labeling.
The auction house lot neck tag is also available for this bottle of Salon.
Richard Juhlin, founder of The Champagne Club, when talking about the huge Acker sale, explained that out of all the Champagne bottles for auction that week, there were only two that he has not tasted yet.
“One is the Salon 1928, which I have never tasted and it’s supposed to be legendary wine. The vintage is so great and Salon was absolutely incredible and it’s supposed to be one of the best wines they’ve ever made."
By the way, a single full bottle of Salon Champagne 1928 sold for approximately $27,000 USD at Acker in 2021!!

These 12 empty bottles are only available as follows:
1. It is the 3rd lot, along with lots/items number 325737735134 and number 325737737091, (comprising 215 empty bottles), bringing the total number of empty bottles for sale to 227. The selling price for all 227 bottles (three lots) is $6,579.00 USD (all for an average of about $29.00 USD/btl across the board), not including any applicable delivery fees, taxes, etc., that may be levied against the sale.
2. The 12 bottles listed here are intended to be included wth the other two lots of empty bottles. But if you want, they are available on their own, for the price listed here in this lot, of $5,000 USD. If this lot of 12 bottles sells on its own, then the other two lots comprising 215 bottles reverts to the sale price of $4,500 for all 215 bottles, (all for an average of about $21.00 USD/btl across the board), not including any applicable delivery fees, taxes, etc., that may be levied against the sale.
3. The sale of all three lots together, comprising 227 bottles, happens through the purchase of lot #325737735134 for $6,579, not including any applicable delivery fees, taxes, etc., that may be levied against the sale.
4. If, according to the point listed in #3 above, all three lots are sold, the other two remaining lots then will NOT be sold separately. No sale that happens to go through for the two remaining lots will be honored, even if there’s a slight delay in ending the independent sale of those lots. Any funds one submits for such will be returned, less any fees that eBay, PayPal, etc. assess against this sale and refuse to return.
5. The overall conditions and terms of sale are laid out in the offering/description of lot #325737735134. It is by lot #325737735134, and only by that lot, that the description and parameters for the sale of all three lots are governed.
THE SALE OF THE MAIN LOT WILL RESULT IN THIS LOT NOT BEING AVAILABLE FOR SALE EVEN IF THIS LOT DOESN'T GET REMOVED FROM SALE IN A TIMELY FASHION.
