I was given this , by a Co-worker , we both worked for Texas Instruments .Geophysical Services Inc. , was the Forerunner to Texas Instruments . GSI was formed in the 1930's and TI in the 1950's . We shared the same Buildings , in Dallas . I collected Blasting Machines , and that was why my Buddy gave me this machine ( he gave me several ) . This one is Missing the Telephone Handset ( that Clipped into the Lid ) , along with missing Paint and some missing Metal , that was Corroded away by a leaking battery . It looks like the Leaking battery was a 22 1/2 Volt , that has Snaps on it's ends . It looks like there was a Clip to hold a Chloride of Silver Cell ( for a Blasting Galvanometer ) inside , too . The 2 Larger Batteries have Pin in wires and Teflon Wrapping around them , I Do Not Know Their Numbers . It's hard to read , but the Faceplate is marked " BLASTER MODEL BC2-6 SERIAL 368 MFD By ELECTRO TECHNICAL LABS HOUSTON TEXAS" - "TB ADJ" - ( is marked above the screwdriver slot Pot Adjustment ) , "CAP TEST" ( is above the Red Button ) , and "REMOTE" ( is stamped above the Multi-Pin Amp Connector ) . It looks like that I got this in 1998 , when I Bead Blaster the Corroded Parts and Clear Coated them , to Stop the Corrosion . GSI Used Dynamite Blasts , to Generate a "THUMP" for a Seismic Reading , that was Recorded in the "DOG HOUSE" - Truck . Usually The Blasting was Coordinated by the Dog House Guys . How far the Dog House was from the Blasting Machines , I do not know . But Hundreds of Geophones were stuck into the ground , in long strings to Receive the Seismic Signals ( those Guys Placing them were "Jug Hustlers" . Ask Any Questions Before You Bid !!!!
