Vintage  Fukusa Presentation Cloth

This elegant vintage  fukusa  is made of silk chirimen fabric in  deep purple  indigo   lined in white silk.  It measures about:  33cm square when open and the lacqured board about 19 X 12 cm . The lacquered board is green on one side and deep red on the other. It folds up into the cloth and has a frog-type closure.

This is a traditional type of cloth used to hold cash for presentations at weddings etc. 

It is in excellent, used condition  - see photos.
