Vintage Ceramic / Porcelain Insulator - NO NAME U-14 - PONY - 3" - CHOCOLATE BROWN This is a No Name ceramic / porcelain insulator, as it has no maker's marks. I believe it is U-14 in style. It resembles the shape and is in line with the stated size of approximately 3" in height and just over 2" in width at the base. The glaze on this piece is a chocolatey brown. It looks like it was dipped in Hershey's syrup. All of the photos were taken indoors with a direct bright light. There is some minor surface scratches. There is an area at the base in which the glaze did not take. Just to the left of that, there is a tiny flea bit with a hairline crack which extends down to the base. (See Photo #3) I am not an expert in insulators, and have relied on my own research on Ebay and some internet sites / forums. Please do your own research. I welcome any feedback from the insulator collectors out there! This is from my father's collection. We made regular stops at antique shops while on vacation road trips as a kid. He is also not an expert, he just thinks they are really neat. He has downsized, and so the collection must go. I have listed several insulators over the past few weeks. Many have sold, but there may still be many available, so please check out my other listings. I generally box my items when listing them to get the exact measurements and weight.
