Vintage 1960's Ed Roth Weirdo Sweat Shirt, Monster, Original Art, Kustom Kulture, T This is an original early 1960's Ed Roth "Weirdo" shirt. It is an original piece of art created by Ed Roth, not a silk screen or transfer print. The shirt was created for a local race car builder/fabricator so Ed airbrushed a design with a tube chassis and tubes running everywhere. The character has a gearshift in one hand and a tape measure in the other. Ed also spelled his name in letters created of tube sections and gave him the moniker "Pretzel Bender" on the front. This sweat shirt is from Ed Roth's early era when he was painting shirts at car shows and drag races. I would guess that it is from before 1965. The shirt is in excellent condition for it's age. It doesn't appear to have been washed as the paint is not faded. The shirt does have minor small stains/spots from wear. The shirt is marked as a Size Large. This is an incredible piece of work from the earliest years of the Kustom Kulture movement. These shirts very rarely become available for sale.   Payment must be received within 7 days of auction close or high bidder loses all right to property. Check out my other auctions because I have all kinds of items. I will ship items by either FEDEX ground or USPS which ever is cheaper and I will combine multiple items to save shipping. I only charge actual postage as close as I can figure it without losing money. I don't charge any handling or packing fees.
