Seller: lbese (3,993) 100% Top-Rated Plus, Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ships to: US, Item: 381861174371 This lot offers 30 pieces of a low cast iron fence. The sections are 6 inches wide and 9.25 inches at the tallest point. These section inter-lock, and need to be screwed down in one spot for each section. This is the type of iron railing that ran along the edge of roof tops on some of the fine old Victorian houses. These pieces could be used to make a railing fence 15 long. The metal is sound, but of course has surface rust. These iron pieces could be 125 to 150 years old. They are marked on the back, but the maker's mark was not well defined. I could not find a really clear mark on any of them to know the manufacturing company name. I think it may be "Duluth", see all photos. I went through each piece and removed roofing tar that was stuck on the bottom foot of many of the pieces. I scraped off surface rust from them as well. These pieces could be cleaned up nicely with a sandblaster, then painted black. I found one piece has a break in one of the parallel edges. I also found one that has the hook part broken from where it needs to inter-lock. Also four or five a little bit warped. The metal would need to be straightened in some spots in order for them to lock together as they should. The design is very unique, you could find many various ways to use just one piece at a time, or linked them together as they were made to be used! Thanks! Material: Cast Iron
