A burnt bulb is inside and the socket and partial wire are still present along with the mounting bracket. One of the bracket mounting screws is missing along with the adjusting knob on the bottom. This is not a perfect compass but a very rare find that will make a great add on accessory to you ride. This is a rare surviving lighted globe compass that was made by Franklin in the 1930's-1940-s for use on an automobile or boat. It is 3" in diameter and 2" wide. A burnt bulb is inside and the socket and partial wire are still present along with the mounting bracket. One of the bracket mounting screws is missing along with the adjusting knob on the bottom. The lens is quite faded making the dial hard to read but I do detect some movement and liquid inside. This is not a perfect compass but a very rare find that will make a great add on accessory to you ride. Thanks for looking.
