Seller: zfr207 (829) 100%, Location: Angelica, New York, Ships to: US, Item: 182038236520 This 3 foot plus length turnbuckle is from the late 1800s or early 1900s. It was connected between two sets of pumps at an oil well from what I am told. It is from Allegany County, in western New York. It's a very obviously used & very obviously sold in as is condition. But it's a nice piece. Very unique. The piece I have added was also found on the same farm. Buried in the grass behind the old pole barn. It looks like a piece of hand forged iron. Look carefully at the way it's designed - it looks like it might have been a brace for an axle on a wagon. This piece dates back probably to the early1800s maybe the 1700s----- who knows? it's very old! (Our farmhouse was built in 1836. So we have lots of old treasures around.)
