This is a nice lot of 59 advertising trade cards, Victorian calling cards and miscellaneous ephemera, most dated from the late 1800's. 20 of the cards have advertising on them, 1 reward of merit, 2 labels, 1 bookmark, 1 fringed Christmas greeting, 1 greeting card, 1 postcard, 1 valentine, 1 stamp, 2 religious cards, 1 calling card, 14 Victorian die-cut scraps, 7 cut-outs and 6 unmarked cards.
Subjects on trade cards include Amidon Vermeire; Maple City Soap; Van Stan's Stratena; Read's Grand Duchess Cologne; Bensdorp's Royal Dutch Cocoa; Morse's Yellow Dock; Hood's Sarsaparilla; G. E. Marsh & Co.; Salisbury & Adams, Hosiery and Gloves; B. T. Babbitt's Soap; Petrie's Face Powder; Kinney Bros. Cigarettes; Grand Magasins du Printemps; J & P Coats Thread; Hunt's Coal; Grand Magasins de Nouveautes a La Paix; Victoria Hotel; Hughes Witch Hazel; etc. Some of these were removed from or soaked out of albums so some are good or less (some have been trimmed, have scrapbook remnants on the back or have nicked corners), however more than half of them I would consider to be in Very Good + condition. Shipping and handling costs outside United States are calculated at end of auction or you can contact me before the end of the auction for an estimate.
