A column of hieroglyphic text to front for the scribe Djed-Maat-Lu-ef-Ankh; which translate as "The Word of Truth (Maat) is his Life. A symbol at the bottom may be a cursory scribbled Ankh sign, an appropriate name for a scribe. Details of the tools, hieroglyphic text, facial details, the headband and seed basket to rear picked out in black. Supplied with purpose-made metal stand. Height (shabti only) 13.3 cms (5.2 ins). Condition: Complete and intact; an ancient chip to surface glaze above the elbows on the reverse. 21st-22nd Dynasty: Circa 1100-900 BC. Provenance: Ex. A vertical column of hieroglyphic text to the front, figure for the scribe Djed-Maat-Lu-ef-Ankh; which translate as; 'The Osiris, the Scribe, Djed-Maat-Iu-ef- Ankh"", which means ""The Word of Truth (Maat) is his Life. The last symbol at the bottom may be a cursory scribbled Ankh sign. This would be an appropriate name for a scribe.
