A very old lidded, round stoneware box with a thin and shiny glaze. It looks like the ceramic was dipped in a glaze and then decorated with a scalloped and ring design using a darker glaze. The lid has a molded design that appears to be a fruit with a stem.
The base is flat, unglazed and no foot ring. The interior of the lid and box are unglazed.
