Item:382218256165This fun tenugui features an epic mashup, with Godzilla wreaking havoc in a classic scene often referred to as The Great Wave' in English by the woodblock print master Hokusai, perhaps the most well-known Japanese woodblock print in the west. As unfortunate sailors are tossed in the air with their boat reduced to splinters, Mt. Fuji can be seen in the distance. A great Japanese gift for the Godzilla fan in your life! It's 100% cotton and is about 34cm wide and 90cm long(13.39" x 35.43"). And like all my items it's made in Japan. I have a similar design on a lighter base with cherry blossoms blowing in the breeze listed separately, please check that listing out if you prefer flowers with your carnage. And I have a couple of other godzilla designs, as well! Tenugui are traditional Japanese cotton cloths. They were originally used as hand towels and head bands, but are used today mainly as room accents and come in a variety of motifs. If you've purchased my furoshiki wrapping cloths, please note that tenugui cotton is a plain weave that is lighter that the fabric used for most of my furoshiki, and it is flat, with a plain texture, more similar to the sort of fabric used for bandanas, and the ends are unfinished. And good news for folks in the U.S.! Thanks to your support our California office for domestic orders is up and running and this tenugui is in stock. Get it fast via USPS and rest assured with tracking and insurance already included in the price. And as always, shipping is FREE! If you buy more than one item, please use the cart and wait to pay until you finish shopping.
