Senger & Co., Franklin Grove, Illinois. Clear glass bottle stands 8.5” tall and is embossed “Sovereign” and “Balm of Life” on the sides on the back. Front has finely detailed and graphic label featuring an Indian maiden with a baby on her back. The label is in excellent condition. The back has original label with General Directions for use which state: “The Sovereign Balm of Life has a tonic and restorative effect upon the uterine organs of the female. Its use should be begun when the need is felt”. The rear label is complete with some age toning and light staining at top. Also includes the original box in good condition (missing top flaps and wear and tattering) that looks great displayed alongside the bottle. The bottle is corked with about 90% of the original contents inside (not to be taken). Note that there is paraffin tape over the top and cork to prevent leakage – this tape can easily be removed by the new owner if desired.
