Seller: simplesalesman (1,558) 100%, Location: Klamath River, California, Ships to: Free Local Pickup, Item: 323838185628 Suck It - CAMC 311998 The Klamath is a RIVER, so there isn't much opportunity for 'light' mining. Most claims on the Klamath are dredge claims, and the 'good' gold will be found instream. Usually there is very little bank material, and this is one of those claims. There are lots of berry bushes lining the Hwy side of the river, and the banks are mostly steep. The elevation difference between the road and the river is about 15-20 feet. This claim has a boat launch ramp (or dredge launch), so access to the water can't get much better than this. This is literally a drive-up claim. And another great feature of this claim is that there is no private property fronting this claim. Many places on the river have private property that sits right on the river, overlooking the claim, causing conflict between the miner and property owner. Not here! This claim is Located on the Klamath River, just a mile upstream from it's confluence with the Scott River. It is about 35 miles downstream from the intersection of Hwy 96 with Hwy 5, and about 30 miles upriver from Happy Camp. This claim has off highway parking, and is located at the Blue Heron river access site. The claim encompasses about 1500 feet (3/10 mile) of the Klamath River. For most of the length of the claim, the water runs smooth and of equal depth from bank to bank. I have not had a chance to dredge this claim, but hopefully you can next year? I own the next claim upriver from this one, and it is for sale as well. It is the DEADMAN claim. I guarantee that what you are bidding on is an ACTIVE AND VALID mining claim, and that on the date of posting, it has no interfering overclaims. By viewing the pictures I have attached, you can see what other claims there are in this section, as well as private property. I have also included a BLM report from this weekend, showing all of the active claims in the section that this claim is located in. Be careful of who you buy from. There are claim flippers that won't provide you ANY of this information, and in some cases it's because they KNOW they are selling a bad claim. A mining claim gives you the exclusive right to mine the minerals on the claim. If you don't know what a mining claim is, I recommend that you educate yourself by visiting the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) website. And I would also suggest that you join a club and learn the laws, etiquette, tools, etc. that you should know about before you ever start looking into BUYING a claim. There is quite a lot you need to know. One of the most important things to know, is that there are annual requirements that you need to fulfill in order to keep a claim, and if you buy a claim from me, I will make sure that you know what they are, and when they need to be done. I am not a 'claim flipper'. I am an actual miner, selling some good claims. I have several claims in Siskiyou County, and since I live in the Bay Area, I have found that they are a bit too far away for me to keep them all. Time to sell a few. I will do my best to make sure you keep the claim you buy from me, and will educate you on what the claim has to offer. I will even come mine with you if you'd like. (If we get dredging back next year like they say, I could even bring my dredge.) If you'd like to prospect the claim before purchase, just let me know. I have people in the area that are looking out for my claims, and I will let them know that you are authorized to be there. If you are the winning bidder: We can do the transfer in person at the Siskiyou County Recorder's office in Yreka, if you would like to do it that way. I have this and an adjoining claim for sale here on Ebay, so I will ultimately try to coordinate the transfer of both claims at about the same time (if necessary) since I don't live in the area. Once it is recorded there (I will pay the recording fee), I will hand deliver a certified copy (and pay the filing fee) to the BLM office in Sacramento on my way home, to complete the transaction. If you can't or don't want to meet in person, I will mail the "Quit Claim Deed" to you, along with a "Preliminary Change of Ownership" form. You will have to sign the form, and then mail both documents to the Siskiyou County Recorder, along with the recording fee (about $50). Once it is recorded, they will mail it back to you, and then you will have to mail it with a filing fee ($15 per new owner) to the BLM office in Sacramento to complete the transaction. If you want to pay me with a credit card, (and if they allow payments for 'real estate' transactions), you will have to use Paypal and add an additional 3% to cover their transaction fee. If you wish to pay me in person when we meet to do the transfer (preferred), I will only accept payment in the form of cash or a cashiers check. I WILL NOT ACCEPT A PERSONAL CHECK, or any other type of payment. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I will do my best to answer them. Good Luck bidding!
