Item:232941378354SHORT STRAND OF BIG NEOLITHIC STONE BEADS. These prehistoric beads are 5/8" to 7/8" in diameter (15 - 21 mm) and 1/4" to 3/8" thick. The string is 12" long with 42 beads. I don't know the type of stone material or this type of bead, for that matter, but they are in very good condition with conical, tapered holes, indications of their ancient age. I heard these referred to as looking like "Cheerios" because of their puffy appearance, and I'll be darned if they don't, except or course a lot bigger. (These are not "type" photos. They are the actual beads you will receive.) Imagine the time it took to make each one of these little beauties by hand several thousand years ago. They were found in the Western Sahara Desert of North Africa and are from the Neolithic Era (New Stone Age) which dates back 3,500 - 8,000 years ago or more. These are great prehistoric collectible artifacts. (I offer 1-day shipping as a matter of course, and often ship the same day payment is received. I figure once you've paid for something, you own it, and might as well have it as soon as possible.) As with all of my artifacts, they are guaranteed authentic for life!FREE SHIPPING of this item in the U.S. Shipping to Canada is $12.50 and United Kingdom & Australia will be $19.50. GUARANTEE: If you are not satisfied with this item for any reason, return it undamaged within 60 days for full refund, less return shipping. COLORADO RESIDENTS will be charged 7.9% sales tax. The field of Sahara Neolithic Artifacts was expanded by the advent of GPS technology available to meteorite hunters in the Sahara Desert. Thousands of years ago North Africa was a temperate environment similar to our own Great Plains. Countless generations of Stone-Age Man lived, hunted, fought and died there, leaving behind their weapons and tools. Today, North Africa consists largely of the Sahara Desert, an inhospitable area almost the size of the United States. Constantly shifting sands and the ability to now safely travel off of established trade routes have expanded this fascinating field of study by making these artifacts available to scholars and collectors around the world. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE NOTE: Import duties and taxes are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These costs are the buyer's responsibility. If you are concerned about them, please check with your country's customs office prior to bidding. Also, I do not state merchandise values below sales price or mark items as "gifts." Thanks for your understanding.Condition:Very good condition., Item:Stone Beads, Origin:North Africa, Region:Western Sahara Desert, Age:Prehistoric, Era:Neolithic
