Set of 2 Original Hoosier Cabinet Canister Spice Jars w/Hoosier Embossed Metal Lids

I've sold a few Hoosier Style Canisters & Spice Jars over the years but I have never seen the Metal Lids and are the early lids embossed with the HOOSIER Manufacturing name on the swing-top  lids. 

The lids are embossed "Swing Cover" and slide to open to use contents. They are not hinged to open the lid. 

Made of heavy glass they have deep vertical ribs with a flat smooth space for your spice label.

This one, Celery Seed, label was found as original to it. They do have a slight green hue when black light tested so probably some time c. 1920s after WWI.

They measure 4 1/2" tall x 2 1/8" wide. 

The glass is a pretty good quality and  is in pretty good condition with only a few inside rim chigger bites, and a couple of rough spots on the bask side, typical with age & use.

The metal lids have a pat'd date 3/17/08 and another date that I can not read...maybe 12/1/10

Both lids have some tarnish, but both are functional. 

Just 2 great jars to display with!
