We believe they were original to thehome and I think they are just amazing! They are heavy crystal ball knobs on a solid brass fixture & measure approximately 2 1/8" in diameter. Remarkably, they are still in really great condition with a few light surface scratches that you only find on very close examination and no chips, nicks, cracks or discoloring of the glass. The back plates are probably newer as they are a bit shinier and not very heavy, though they aresolid brass (as told by the magnet not sticking to them) and free of dents & dings. The total weightof the entire piece is about 25 1/2 oz. The inside of the glass has a couple tiny air bubbles and the brass mount has a few spots that could be polished, but overall they are in great condition and display beautifully. Thank you for looking and please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions. They will be professionally packed and fully insured for a guaranteed safe delivery! Condition: There are a few light surface scratches (discovered only on very close examination) & a few tiny air bubbles suspended in the glass. The brass mounts could use a little polishing in spots but overall they are in beautiful & ready to use condition. They are crystal clear and very heavy with no mold joints in glass & no chips, nicks, cracks or repairs. I was told that they are true orbs as when you look through them everything appears to be upside down. The back plates appear to be newer though I believe they are also solid brass as a magnet doesn't stick to any of the brass parts.
