LOCKE (1861 - 1930) cobalt glazed porcelain vase. The bottom is marked LOCKE in black under glaze (u-g) ink. The first use of this type of marking was on insulators made for Fred Locke by Electric Porcelain & Mfg. Co. from 1897-1900 and later at his factory in Victor, NY. This vase stands approx. 5" high and is approx. 2 5/8" at it's widest point. It features a rich cobalt glaze with lighter blue hues/swirls at the top and bottom of the piece. A fine specimen for collectors of Locke pieces. Condition: Used, Condition: There is a manufacturer flaw on the side of the rim where part of the rim is dented in. This flaw was made during the creation process as it has been glazed over.
