These glass floats (balls) were given to us by fishermen in the Erimo region of Hokkaido, Japan.
We have selected and boxed many of them in relatively clean condition.
Originally, these were used for herring fishing in the Meiji and Taisho Eras (1868-1912).
They were made at a glass factory in Otaru, a city famous for its canals.
How about it as a handmade material or antique interior?
We are thinking of giving them to someone who can use them effectively.
Please note that the size may vary slightly from lot to lot.
