JIM SHORE , a native of South Carolina, Jim Shore utilizes his skills as a portaitist, sculptor and folk artist to create his uniquie and creative collection for Enesco Home Gallery. His current collection, Heartwood Creek, combines tabletop and figurines to create a charming and innovative American country decor statement. A self-taught artist, SHORE worked as an engineer before turning his full attention to art. He has painted in a varity of media including watercolor and egg tempura, a technique made popular by artist Andrew Wyeth and Bob Timberlake. SHORE has also perfected his technique in silver and goldsmithing, wood carving, stained glass, furniture making and sculpting in stone.

Master sculptor and painter draws on his southern country upbringing to create wonderfully detailed collections in a variety of media. Brightly crafted, down to earth, every charming piece has heart warming appeal. With his diverse background and experience in engineering, silver and goldsmithing, stained glass making, and stone and wood carving, Jim Shore has become an accomplished artist. He has created portraits for the governments of both North and South Carolina, and is the creator of the popular pencil Santa line he changed the look of Santa in the early 1990s.



 



Together they celebrate spirited moments and cherished memories of an era gone by. This unique blend of enchantment and American folk art captures the richness and beauty of our heritage and brings it to your home.
