Item:156124357138EXTINCTIONS-FLAT OF SEVEN RARE LOWER CAMBRIAN CAMPTOSTROMA, WANNERIA, OLENELLUS!. Name: Camptostroma, Wanneria, Olenellus Age: Lower Cambrian Formation: Kinzers Formation Location: York & Lanc. Counties, Pennsylvania Size: Flat is 11 inches x 16 inches! This is a very cool flat of rare echinoderms and trilobites. In the flat, there are SEVEN fossils - four Camptostroma roddyi (one is a split pair), two Wanneria walcottana, and one double Olenellus thompsoni from the Kinzers Formation of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Camptostroma are some of the earliest known types of echinoderms - you may never see an older echinoderm. These enigmatic, disc-shaped, Medusa-like animals had a distinct plate structure and have now been officially classified as edrioasteroids! There are also two Wanneria heads from the Brubaker's Quarry, and a double Olenellus head from the Fruitville Quarry. All of the fossils have nice detail preserved and display well on the rock. This is a fine grouping of Lower Cambrian animals from Amish Country. A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS.com is included with this item. Insurance is included in the cost of shipping. Note: International customers may have to pay a duty at Customs - every country's rules are different.
