This is a rare 19th century Doulton Lambeth jardiniere in a brown glaze with a raised blue willow pattern. The rim has a lovely Chinese embossed pattern with a scalloped edge and cut out holes. This is a huge jardiniere .. it is 9” tall, 9 1/2” in diameter at the top and 12” across the widest part. It is heavy.. 9.5 pounds! There are some manufacturering flaws.. the brown around the top has some lighter portions.. and there are some firing cracks on the bottom which do not go through to the inside. There is a glaze? substance in the bottom corner inside from the firing. There are no chips or damage or restorations. Just the firing flaws mentioned. It is such a large piece in this pattern. You will be pleased.
