One of the nicest and most impressive cue racks you could ever own - this rack makes other cue racks look like toys. It is made in America by an American craftsman - just like the originals were made.This is a very exact & high quality replication of an ultra rare antique Brunswick Balke Collender (BBC) Union League Cue Rack - identical to the original. (4 1/2" x 36 1/2" x 69 1/2" - almost 6 feet tall) This cue rack was designed to match Brunswick's Union League pool table (made 1890 - 1899). It is a gorgeous design with great details. There are 56 separate pieces of wood that have to be made, assembled, sanded and then finished for one of these racks - some are very time consuming to make and require a great deal of skill. This cue rack is loaded with great details - everywhere! It has turnings, carvings & lots of moldings (I ground knives to match the molding profiles exactly). This cue rack dwarfs any normal cue rack - in size, details, style and weight (it weighs 31 lbs - about twice what a normal cue rack weighs) and really has a presence and makes a bold statement. It holds 14 cues (typical cue racks hold 12 cues). Made of quartersawn White Oak with nice flake - just like the original. It's a nice medium color - not overly light or dark and will compliment most tables and decor, with a high quality furniture finish professionally sprayed (w/ a gun - not cans) nice satin finish (not a high gloss).

However - I also have 1 that is unfinished and will custom finish it to your choice of color at no extra charge [if you can tell me the stain name and color and I can get it (or you can provide it). Penetrating stains only - oil or lacquer based - I will also use gel stains or dyes if needed for a match - but at an additional cost. I can match colors w/o the stain / color name if I have a sample to go by - but at an additional charge. Add 2 weeks time - minimum for a custom finished cue rack - depending on my schedule at the time of order]. Includes wall mounting holes (predrilled in inconspicuous locations - nearly hidden), screws & all hardware & directions needed to install and oak plugs finished to match the cue rack (to cover/ conceal mounting screws).

I had an original BBC Union League cue rack to restore and used to recreate this copy from - it would have been close to impossible to get all the details correct from only pictures. EVERYTHING about it is identical to the original, all shapes, sizes, proportions and details, etc. The BBC decal has also been clear coated over for durability. The last picture shows 3 cue racks - the one in the middle is an original/ antique (that I restored) - the 2 on either side are reproductions. The picture is not great, but even up close it is very hard to tell the new from the original. I also made the matching/ complimentary Union League ball cabinet pictured with it from an original also - it too is extremely rare (see my other listings for these). If you are interested in a matching set - please contact me and I can work you a package deal price for both of them - they make a gorgeous set. This is a Lamborghini or Ferrari among cue racks - it is way above the average cue rack. I am also the only source for a reproduction of these on the entire planet and originals are nearly impossible to find. This is not for those who don't appreciate the difference between ordinary and extraordinary. This will last your lifetime and your children's lifetime if well cared for and hold it's value (unlike the vehicle you are driving that you paid much more for).

My camera and photography skills are no where near good enough to do justice to this. I assure you that it is far more impressive in person and I guarantee you will be pleased and impressed with the quality and appearance of this cue rack.

Originals of these are super rare & virtually impossible to find. If you could find an original - it would almost certainly be very pricey, probably need restoration or repair work (which can be very costly) and very likely be missing parts or pieces. The (2) originals I have had to restore were both missing significant pieces (the top crest is only held in place by dowels and is often missing or damaged). I use only the best materials available for all of my work. Today's adhesives and finishes are far superior to what was available when the original was made. I.E. The finish I used on this is only available to the trade and not the general public - it is a conversion varnish that uses a catalyst to help it cure and harden - refinisher's hate it because it it very difficult to remove, but it will wear very well and last for many decades.
