Original is a fine even-thickness casting.This axe shows a transition between the simple, short and plain Minster-types and the LBA longer and elegant opposed-crescent decorated axes, from the continent.This axe is the only one known with the bottom bar to the crescents and six pellets in two groups of three.Interestingly, though,no internal hafting ribs.The original Bronze Age owner, or the smith, has marked the blade edge with three light chop marks, twice.
