R A Miller Folk Art Paint on Wood ORIGINAL Acquired Directly from ARTIST. I bought this DIRECTLY from RA Miller in Rabbittown, GA. (near Gwinnett, GA) in 1987 when I used to go out there to visit RA Miller at his shack on the hill, when the whirly Jigs were still there.... This piece Measures 24 inches by 24 inches and is painted on a 3/16 inch thick piece of hardwood underlayment board, which is a thin plywood product which is made of real wood, it is NOT MDF. The art piece is in PERFECT Condition, AS CREATED by the artist. One Of A Kind, Original paint and board. Since this is an original creation there are "flaws" which are part of the artists creative process, little drips and messy painting, misspelled words, and imperfections in the materials. There is even a small wood chip/shaving that had adhered to the wet paint when it was created and is now solidly attached to the painting. These creative "imperfections" make it more interesting and real in my opinion. Based on the "after creation" condition of the painting, there are NO Problems, NO Damage, NO Restorations. The painting has been carefully stored and lovingly cared for since I bought it. GUARANTEED to NOT be a REPRODUCTION. Painted on wood board and using enamel "OOPS" "House Paint" and black permanent marker outlinesthat I gave to him, I went back a couple of weeks later and he gave me this (plus the others). FYI, RA did not PAINT on much ever and he usually used drawing with Markers on MDF as his medium. I convinced him to create this for me, he agreed :-). I had 8 (cut 8x4 sheet into 2 ft squares) of these depicting various subjects, and sold 6 in the past....this was one of my favorite pieces that I had kept. This is SUPER RARE, and there will never be more created by RA Miller, as he passed away many years ago. See the usual phrases that RA used, "LORD LOVE YOU" and "Jesus Love You" with his typical phonetic misspellings. Signed R A Miller in red marker (he would not sign them until you paid for them :-) so I watched him sign this in 1987. I will attempt to add more detailed photos later, but if you want it bid now.
