It is made of terracotta with faint traces of its original colors remaining. It measures 8 inches high, 5 inches wide and 5 inches deep. The details of the figure's costume are wonderful, as is his cheerful expression. The condition of this piece is excellent. This piece was bought from an antiquities gallery in Quito in 2000 and has been in a private US collection since. A copy of the original invoice will accompany it when purchased. It is dated between 300 BC and 1300 AD.
