Item:163914891196Never Been Listed: Pre Columbian, H2O2 tested, Pottery, Meso American Zone, Possibly Proto Mayan from the Kaminaljuyu region, or North Central America as the clay/paste composition strongly resembles that of authentic pieces from those areas. Restored authentic brown ware bowl repaired from over 80 pieces, 1727 grams in weight, 8 1/2 inches in height, 10 inches in diameter, 5 1/4 inches rim diameter. All images were taken by the seller utilizing a Canon digital camera and an AmScope, trinocular stereo microscope, please note that I never substitute photographs. Photos 1 thru 7 were shot with the Canon, they reflect the subject bowl in varied positions, photos 8 thru 12 were shot with the AmScope, those depict magnified and highly magnified images of the subject vessels, clay/paste composition, ancient pigment, and various mineral deposits including manganese, which the piece is loaded with. I preformed the H2O2 test on the 27th of October, the 11th and 12th images document the reaction/results. I have sold artifacts from my collection to the owners of art galleries in New York and Denver and too residents of Germany, England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Russia, Austria, and a few other European countries. Most artifacts will be double boxed, the bowl will be further stabilized before shipment. I combine shipping and do not seek to profit from same, the posted shipping cost is an estimate, excess funds (above $10.00 Canadian funds), will be returned VIA PayPal, if my final shipping cost is above estimate I will take care of that, within reason. In order to offer the best shipping value, I maintain accounts with USPS, Canada Post, Fed/Ex, and UPS. I do not recommend shipping with U.P.S. Sellers Comments: This very interesting vessel was severely damaged when I purchased it, I received it in a paper bag so I could not insure that all the pieces were there. I spent 15-20 minutes searching for the "tells" of authenticity with a 10x eye loupe and the AmScope, I am pleased to advise that the piece is authentic. It may be worth while to fully restore the bowl as the artistic subject matter it is quite rare.
