Item:163803536347Pre Columbian, Green Jade, Late Post Classic 1200 1500 A.D., Authentic Mixtec necklace pendant, or this carving could be mounted on a ring, 12 grams, 1 1/8th inch in width, 3/4 inch in height, 1/2 inch in depth, expected weathering with deposits. No repairs or cracks, there is some loss to the bottom right corner which was damaged years ago, as the defect is smooth. All photos were shot by the seller with an AmScope trinocular stereo microscope, and Canon digital camera Photos 1 thru 8 were taken by the Canon camera, the images depict the pendant at different angles. Photos 9 thru 12 were taken with my AmScope, the images depict the mineral deposits in the suspension hole (images 9 and 10) and the deposits located on the right side bottom and the right side middle of the artifact. I studied every square millimeter of this pendant, there are no signs of modern tool marks. A few months ago I saw a photograph of an artifact almost exactly the same as mine, it was mounted onto a 14 k gold band (image 12), the asking price was over 2,000 American dollars plus taxes and shipping.
