Item:163878409510Post Columbian, Meso American Zone, Pottery, West Mexican, Colima, Massive contemporary Colima face bowl, 8 inches in height, 14 inches in width, 6 inches in rim diameter, no weight, too heavy for my scale. The bowl is from a Beverly Hills estate, I have inspected every square inch of this piece, there are no chips, cracks, or repairs, I did note a small hole on the side. I suspect US Customs drilled the piece. Unless advised, the images are of the subject bowl, with no substitutions, all posted photographs were taken by the seller utilizing a Canon Digital Camera and a laboratory quality AmScope Trinocular Stereo Microscope, with a mounted microscope digital camera, mounted and remote lighting systems and appropriate Barlow lenses, (a photograph of my office with the microscope is on my store page). Photos 1 thru 7 were taken with the Canon camera, the images are of the subject bowl positioned at different angles. North American members expect me to utilize the shipping services of USPS/Canada Post with their insured and tracked service, or either Fed/Ex, or DHL. I personally pack all my artifacts with great care and use the best shipping/packing materials money can buy, all fragile and/or expensive pieces will be double boxed. Bidders/Purchasers residing outside the lower 48 U.S. States and Canada must advise, I have sold artifacts from my collection to art galleries in New York and Denver, and to residents of Germany, France, Switzerland, Great Britain, Austria and Russia, shipping rates to Europe are at least double quoted North American figures as insurance and tracking are not negotiable. I combine shipping and do not seek to profit from said charges, surplus fees will be returned to the purchaser, in the event my final shipping cost is exceeds collected funds, I will cover that cost... within reason. As always if you have a question or a comment don't hesitate, in some cases please allow up to 48 hours for a response. All information from my JSTOR account and/or from one or more of my books on Pre Columbian/Meso American art and culture. I have visually, and microscopically inspected/studied the face bowl and have determined that there is no chance it is authentic, your purchase will be double boxed for shipping. Thanks for your interest in my collection.Material:pottery, Provenance:from my collection, I know exactly where this -
