This is a dark olive green blackglass early pontiled fruit jar or storage jar made in the late 1700s or early 1800 period.....(you are only buying the ONE smaller jar on the right...the larger jar is listed separately)....It was free blown ....large open pontil scar on bottom.....wide slightly flared rim....olive green.....10 1/4"tall x 4 5/8"round.....4 1/8"across mouth opening......Excellent condition with no chips or damage. A couple small light surface scratches. A nice clean jar with only some light content haze in bottom.  Some normal light old wear on bottom surface. This was a popular style of storage jar in the 1700s. It would have been sealed with either a glass ball, a large cork or wood plug sealed with wax. Guaranteed authentic and over 200 years old. It came from an old New England collection ....After 50 years of digging and collecting we have decided to part with many of our bottles (to make room for more..haha)...so keep watching our listings as many rare treasures are being found! ...
