Seller: oldlodgecolo (4,143) 100%, Location: Denver, Colorado, Ships to: US, CA, GB, AU, Item: 223648297674 Superb early labeled cure bottle with great red ink label for Imperial Rose Balm from the Shaker Village, New Lebanon, Columbia County, New York. The label includes an incredible amount of information and states that it is a “Cure for Diseases of the Skin, Sore Mouth, etc.”. At the bottom of the label it states “Prepared by the Shakers, New Lebanon, Columbia Co., Agt Thos. Estes, Price 25 Cents”. The label is in good condition with a small stain at upper left corner and light age toning and wear. The bottle is pale aqua and fairly crude with very uneven thickness to the base and a deep rough pontil mark. The lip is also very crude with a glob of extra glass extending out from what is otherwise an evenly flared lip (the lip is not damaged at all, just very crude and uneven). The bottle stands 5.5” tall and is in excellent condition. The glass itself has numerous small bubbles. The back side of the bottle still has the original sticker showing that it was once part of the Greer Collection (“Greer Collection 1547 Harmer Rooke, N.Y.C.”) that sold at auction in 1988. Great early labeled Shaker cure from the famous Samuel Greer collection. Offered with no reserve. Bid with confidence--all items guaranteed to be old and original and come with a 14-day return if not satisfied. Buyer to pay $5.00 shipping in the U.S. Please see my other auctions for more labeled patent medicine bottles, advertising tins, general store items, and quack medicines -- all offered with no reserve. Please save me as a seller as I will be listing over a hundred scarce advertising tins, labeled patent bottles, drug store, and apothecary items in the coming months from two private collections – virtually all with low starting bids and no reserve. I am happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases. I usually run auctions on two consecutive days mid-week -- if you win an item on the first day and are interested in an item or items that close on the second day, please wait to pay until the auctions end on day two. I will send an invoice after all auctions have closed. On Sep-26-19 at 17:38:31 PDT, seller added the following information: To clarify, this bottle is from the Shaker Village, New Lebanon, Columbia County, New York, as stated in the item description.
