Seller: armageddon_antiquities (375) 100%, Location: Amarillo, Texas, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 163840465106 This is something you don’t see everyday. It’s a charm/amulet of the demon god Pazuzu dating to about 800 BC with a wonderful desert patina. Out of the Iraq region. This one also happens to be a seal showing a star or a flower as you can see. This is a particularly nice example in that the suspension loop is still attached and fused to the amulet. First I have seen that way. It’s made out of bronze. Pazuzu was the demon of the Southwest wind along with storms, disease and other unpleasant things. But, pregnant women thought he protected them against the other evil demon gods, particularly Lilith. Perhaps Pazuzu is most well known because of the fact he was the demon portrayed in the movie The Exorcist. In the beginning of the movie Father Merrin finds an amulet/idol like this one, although it’s quite a bit bigger than this one. These seem to be a pretty popular item that appeals to people inside and outside of collecting antiquities. The features don’t photograph well but in hand it’s easy to see his evil grin, nose and bulging eyes. If you study it for a moment you’ll easily see them. The pendant is larger than others at approximately 1 inch long. The glass case will be included only if Buy It Now is used. $7.00 s&h via priority mail. PayPal preferred.
