The dorsal face has areas of superb fine retouch to create a cutting edge. The ventral face has a large area of strong, bold flake retouch, displaying great percussive rippling. This area was probably worked to remove an irregularity and to aid handling. A beautiful artifact with stunning, shiny, black ancient patina. A display artifact.
