The capitals are gesso not carved and one corner has a chip and light crack. Description These great columns were originally part of a fireplace mantel. They are made of cherry wood and are painted. The bases are square, the columns are round and partially fluted with ornate capitals at the top. Each measures 30.25 inches tall by almost 5 square at the bases. Overall they are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. The capitals are gesso not carved and one corner has a chip and light crack. Please look at the pictures carefully.
