The fabric consists of 62% super soft baby alpaca, 11% merino wool and 27% organic cotton. This hoodie was never worn aside from an initial fitting. Please pay close attention to the photos.
Both hoodies are made with a rare black Merino from Loro Piana. Every hoodie is built from Pecora Nera, the wool from a single flock of black Merino sheep brought back to life by a dedicated herdsman in New Zealand over the last 20 years. Designed to see you through scorching summers and freezing winters, it’s the rarest, strongest, softest and lightest Merino on Earth.
We leave our black Merino raw and undyed. Although black Merino sheep look black from a distance, close up their fleeces are made from a spectrum of natural shades and colours. It means that once the wool is brought over from New Zealand and the yarn is spun in Italy, there’s no need to dye it like you would with white wool. Left in its raw and undyed state, it works with almost any colour you want to wear it with.
It’s the softest hoodie ever built. The Nomad Hoodie is zero effort clothing. Once it’s on you simply forget it’s there. Not only have we used the softest wool in the world, but we’ve also designed every detail of the hoodie to follow your body so that you never feel restricted. The engineered panels, thermoregulating textures, and crossover collar and hood, let the hoodie quietly get on with its job while you get on with yours.
You can wear it year-round. The exceptional natural properties of Merino mean you can wear it year-round no matter what the weather is doing. The wool is so soft on your skin that you can wear it on its own in warmer temperatures. When the weather turns colder you can layer under and over it just like a regular sweater. Or you can carry on wearing it on its own, and the thermoregulating, naturally water-repellent wool will still insulate you from the cold and keep out the rain and snow.
