Item:223152901881Many of these comics come from my Dad's collection. He has sold many comics under the name mlcollier. He grades the comics for me. He has been collecting, buying and selling comics for over forty (40) years. He has many professionally graded comics and all of the Overstreet Grading Guides. We try to provide an opinion as to grade using his experience, comparison to graded books ( both on line and in person), and using the Overstreet Grading Guides as well as other online grading services. We also try to describe the major defects and defects that place the comic in a particular grade (especially defects that cannot be seen in the scans.) We list any restoration that we detect or that we are aware. I also provide large scans so that you can see all of the obvious defects for yourself and determine your own opinion as to grade. We understand how important grading is as it relates to values. Despite our best efforts to provide accurate grading and descriptions, we sometimes have people disagree with the grade or we miss a defect. In the end grading is subjective and we have found this to be true even with professional grading services. We own CGC, CBCS and PGX books that we disagree with their grades in both directions. In other words I have seen many professionally graded books over graded and many under graded. For these reasons we offer full refunds for any reason if you are unhappy with the purchase. I offer free shipping on nearly all raw comics shipped in the US. When I do charge for shipping I try to charge only my actual cost and not add handling charges. I package comics bagged and boarded (many times with fresh bags and boards) between two pieces of cardboard that I have produced by a local box company and are slipped snugly into a manila envelope. I can fit three (3) or four (4) comics into a package in this manner. Larger packages are shipped in boxes or a comic book mailer produced specifically for that purpose. My packaging and shipping costs can become expensive (as much as 500.00 a month in some cases). I try to balance shipping safety, cost, and speed in a way that keeps my cost as low as possible so that I do not have to charge buyers shipping, and the buyer will receive the books relatively quickly and packaged securely. I try to ship all books within 24 hours of purchase keeping in mind that the post office is closed on the weekends and holidays. I also work full time and on some occasions (not often) it has interfered with my ability to get to the post office.Condition:F/G 1.5. Cover is detached at staples.
