Ornate late 1800s Antique German Silver Gebruder Dingeldein Bud Vase
Presented is a beautiful German silver bud vase in stand. This piece dates to the late 1800s and was made by Gebruder Dingeldein, one of the best known and highest quality Hanau German makers. The bud vase is done in a classical Greco-Roman vase form, with detailed hand chased designs around the neck and body. The vase has twist form handles to either side. The base features ram's head masks at the tops of the legs, with hoof form feet. The upper side of the base is hand chased with a floral design. This is a very ornate and eye-catching piece.
This piece is in great condition. The details of the design are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no dents, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The vase is hallmarked on the upper side of the base with four Hanau pseudo marks, which are the marks of Gebruder Dingeldein. These four marks are repeated on the side of the vase. The rim of the vase also has an Austrian import mark. This piece is tested and guaranteed 850-900 purity silver.
The vase stands about 5 ¼ inches tall.
