Nice 1850s-era Dragoon bridle rosette ornament marked "U.S.", made of brass and filled with lead on the reverse, dug at Fort Inge Texas. This comes from the collection of an elderly man (now deceased) who lived in Uvalde and owned several acres of land directly adjacent to the fort.  Fort Inge was in use from 1849 through the Civil War and was garrisoned by dragoons and mounted riflemen.  The Confederates also used the fort during the Civil War.   Please see my other listings for more dug relics.  Thanks for looking!   I AM HAPPY TO COMBINE SHIPPING COSTS ON MULTIPLE PURCHASES.
