The coverage area extends from Tours to Warsaw, between the North Sea and Venice, including Paris, Vienna, Stuttgart, Posen, Stettin, Danzig, Hamburg, London, Brussels, Antwerp, Frankfurt, and Berlin, with an inset of Genoa and vicinity. Details include cities, towns, completed railroads, railroads under construction, highways, steamship lines, and boundaries of the German Zollverein — a coalition of German states formed to manage tariffs and economic policies within their territories. The map was published in the July 7, 1866 edition of Harper's Weekly, and is an original, authentic antique map, not a reproduction or modern reprint, and it is fully guaranteed to be genuine. Condition: It is in very good condition, bright and clean, with a vertical center fold, as issued, one small spot near the left edge, and no rips or tears. The "impending war" in the title is known today as the Austro-Prussian War or Seven Weeks' War, fought in 1866 between the Austrian Empire and the Kingdom of Prussia.
